Our first two days were
spent at Kingston where we visited Kevin's paternal relatives. There were
Ms. Mac, Aunt Decima, Aunt Mavis, Ronald, and a couple of other relatives who
came to see us during our short stay. They very much missed Kevin and
wished we were staying longer. Unfortunately, we didn't had made
arrangements to stay in Negril already. The first couple of pictures here
were taken in Mona Heights where Kevin's relatives live.

We were having a typical Jamaican breakfast, ackee
and salt fish, hard dough bread and Blue Mountain coffee. What a great way
to start the day!
This is Mona Heights,
where Kevin's paternal grandmother and aunts live. It is surrounded by
mountains. The air up there is pure and refreshing. The house was
close to the University of West Indie's.

After we left Kingston, We
headed for Negril where we stayed at the Foote Prints Hotel. The Foote
Prints hotel is a lovely three story high hotel with approximately 20 or 25
rooms. We had made reservations for a room with windows facing the
beach. The room had slight problems when we first arrived. There was
a leak in the ceiling, the air conditioner wasn't working, the television wasn't
working, etc. However, we quickly overlooked these things, as the handy
man was trying to fix all the problems, and headed for the warm inviting Caribbean
sea!
At Negril, we went scuba diving. The guys took us out on
this little boat and dropped us off in the middle
(this is Diana on the boat sporting her new tan and cool tat) of
the ocean where there were plenty of coral reefs. What a site! The
fishes swam right next to us and we were able to reach out and touch them.
Except the guys from the boat told us not to since that was dangerous and
tampering with mother nature =)
This was at a restaurant at the top of the eight miles beach at Negril.
Behind Diana is a twenty or so feet drop into the ocean.
Don't
we look dark and lovely? Kevin and Diana in front of their Foote Prints
Hotel. Our Hotel faces this lovely beach where we wake up to bright
Jamaican sun and fall asleep to the gentle sound from the warm Caribbean sea.
Kevin sitting in front of the Foote Prints Hotel's restaurant. We ate several
meals there. They serve traditional Jamaican food and American fare.

These are all shots taken around and by the hotel. You definitely
have to stay at Foote Prints when you go to Negril. The accommodations
were great and the hotel itself was lovely.
A great view of the sun setting behind
Diana. Jamaican sunsets are perfect!
Doesn't Diana look like an
island chic mon?
This was at Dunn's River Fall in Ocho Rios. The water
was ice cold but once you get into it, it was so awesome. We climbed
the...fifty stories high(?) water fall all the way from the bottom to the
top.
This picture came
out bad, but you can still see how much fun it was!
